TRIFEST Recap TRIFEST 2009 was a tri-rific experience! Several thousand people roamed through the huge expo and conference, checking out top products from over 90 well-know vendors and attending presentations or clinics led by some famous names in triathlon including Joe Friel, Chris Carmichael, Andy Potts, and Sam McGlone. The weekend kicked off with a police escort for over 150 cyclists riding from the Inn & Suites across town and up “Col de Lemmon.” Dinner Friday night featured “The Man”, 6-time Kona Champion Dave Scott. Dave also led a strength and injury prevention class at the conference. Other cool seminars addressed tri-bike fit, nutrition and training. Über-swimmer Bill Daniell from Grasky Endurance provided free swim stroke analysis and there was even an endless pool available to try out wetsuits from Zoot, 2XU, Nineteen, and Blue Seventy. TTC would like to thank club members Kristen Metzger, Diane DeRoia, Caryn Nath, Julie Stark, Cody Jenkins, Eric Totten, Clarence Johnson, John Barr, Jonathan Barnabe, Joe Metzger, Dan Moseke, Dan Jones, Kevin Dougherty, Michael McClure, and Brian Nath for volunteering at the club booth. The club launched the “Time 2 Tri” program at Trifest. Spots are still open for this exciting new program, so recruit your friends! TTC Cycling & Tri Kits Due to the low interest from club members we will be switching from Squadra to Louis Garneau. Squadra has a minimum of 24 for each item, which we can not meet. LG offers a minimum of 12, which is a better option for the club. The overall design of the gear will be the same just from a different manufacturer. We will be ordering sample kits for try on soon. Additional details regarding the dates for trying on the apparel will be determined when we receive the samples. |

The Sunday group run starts at St. Phillips Plaza at 8:00 AM. The pace and distance will be determined by those present. |
